A black and white figure is shown in elevation view and is 
captioned "Figure 5. SRB Support Post".  The Figure 
shows the assembly of a support fixture.  A thick horizontal 
flange is at the bottom of the assembly and supports the 
assembly. A second flange with a slightly smaller diameter 
is bolted on top of the base flange. The bolts are shown as 
threaded dowels with two nuts at either end providing the 
clamping force.  A cone shaped tower with a flat top is 
attached at the center of the top flange.  Triangular stiffeners 
are welded around the base of the cone-shaped tower. A 
rod is inserted thru a hole on the top of the tower. A spherical 
bearing with a flat base is attached to the top of the rod.  
The flat base of the spherical bearing is resting inside a 
counter-sink hole on top of the tower. The figure shows 
that by inserting shims at the base of the spherical bearing, 
the required elevation can be achieved to within ±0.005
